Default Tools to easily detach salt cell?

What tool do you guys use to easily remove the salt cell? I tried the other day to twist open the connectors between the salt cell and the pipe and it's quite tight.

I need some kind of wrench that could give me a better grip than my bare hands. Thanks.

I keep one of those strap wrenches in the pool shed. It's a rubber strap that you loop around the object you need to loosen/tighten and feed back into the handle to apply torque. Should be able to google it, then find one cheap at Lowes/Home Depot/Sears/etc, etc, etc. Doesn't leave marks or destroy the plastic like pipe wrenches/slip lock pliers do.

Nater is correct. Probably the easiest to handle is a rubber strap wrench. You can also try large channel lock pliers, but they're heavy and expensive just for loosening a cell union. A oil filter wrench from an auto parts store will work too... Strap wrench though, is the way to go.

+1 on the strap wrench. I use it on plumbing fixtures in the house also. Cheap handy little item.

I would also go with the strap wrench. Metal channel locks can mess up plastics.
