Kay, welcome to the forum!! I see from your posts that you've done your readingTo finish the cleanup of the water, first backwash the filter thoroughly (do a number of backwash/ rinse cycles, til the water on backwash comes out clear). Then you can put the pump back on low speed and see if it clears the rest of the way. If it doesn't clear up on low speed, get some DE (diatomacious earth/ filter powder) and add ~ 1 lb via the skimmer - this will help you filter out the smaller particles (finding a container for 1lb of DE is kind of difficult, a 1 lb coffee can =~ 1/2 lb of DE - if you aren't sure how much your measurer has added, use the pressure gauge to see when you've gotten a 1 lb increase on the pressure). Poconos and CarlD have advocated this method here a number of times, a search should help you find more specific info.
Your chem #s look good, you can probably let the cl drop back down. What's left clouding the water is just the fine sediment from the dirt that the contractor foolishly let into your pool.
If you have further questions, we'll be more than happy to help. Again, welcome to the forum - Waste![]()
