    Default Large plastic sheets

Others have discussed using a large plastic sheet - obtainable at a hardware store - for doing a water replacement without a drain/refill.

Since it is fast closing in on winter in the NE (except that it is 70 outside today!), my thoughts have turned to our annual backyard ice rink. We have a large white plastic liner that has suffered over the years. I am looking for something to help slow/prevent the leakage from the multiple holes that it now has. My current liner itself is quite tough, so I am thinking of using the new plastic sheeting over the top to provide a better water tight seal.

The question is, does anyone know where and how to get these large plastic sheets. I looked in the local Home Depot and didn't find it anywhere, but didn't have the time to ask for help. Haven't checked at Lowe's yet. Any help in finding this stuff would be appreciated!

Greenhouse supply companies handle the really wide stuff. You might try Farmtek as a start.

How wide do you need? We got some 6 mil black poly sheeting that was 20' x 100' at Lowes for around $80. I'm sure it comes shorter if you don't need 100'. I don't remember the department it was in, but anyone there should be able to point you in the right direction, like they did for us.
Why BBB? Because money can't buy happiness, but saving it sure can!

Thanks all. I need about 26 wide, will go and do more research at Lowes/HD. Also found a huge number of online suppliers of film and ice rink liners, so will check all that out. thanks again!
