    Default waterfall leak 56k beware

Its my new pool. The builder has agreed to fix it of course but its going to take them 1-2 weeks to get out here. The water is escaping out of one of the small cracks in the "bowl" and finding its way out of the back and side and trickling down the backside into the yard. Its not that big, shouldnt be to hard to repair but I know nothing about waterfall repair so I could be wrong. At 1st I thought it could be the pipe that feeds the waterfall since the water was coming out of the back and sides but I let it run and let the bowl fill with water to get the leak going but the water stays in the pipe and the bowl empties so luckily the pipe isnt the problem. My question is, how is a leak like this fixed? Do they use some kind of sealant? Im thinking of just fixing it myself if its relatively cheap and easy instead of waiting the 1-2 weeks for them to get out here. Or should I wait for them to take care of it and keep the waterfall dry?? Heres some pics of the bowl and the cracks. Is cracking like this look normal or should I start complaining?
    heres the bowl cracks-

heres pics where it leaks from the sides and the back, note the blade of grass in there!!
