    Default Frustration abounds me

OK, went to set the liner to today. Have a J-Hook oval 12x24. Instructions are as murky as swamp water in a hurricane...at best. Did as the instructions stated, put the liner seam down the middle, put it up at 12-3-6-9and then started hanging from from the middle out of these attachment points. Everything goes very well until the last quarter to put up and the tension is just too much...it wants to buckle the side walls and pull the wall up out of the track. Everything is so very right on this and now, in the final stage......an absolute pain in the arse of huge dimensions. Can anyone tell me whats the deal? The whether was not that warm at all...high 60's but it still should attach to the pool rim.

Confirm that you have the right sized liner. The warmer the better as far as temperature goes. My preference is 70's. I've only installed liners in the spring/summer time thought. The more hands you can get on the liner lip to hang it the better. And its better it be a little snug. Holler if you need help.

J hook liners should fit relatively well, the tems are pretty low for it to get nice and soft/stretchy.
With mine, it was actually a case of it being too big by 6" but having a 30 foot round pool, I was able to just adjust it and eliminate the excess.
When i did our neighbour's, I started to assemble the top rails as I placed the liner to hold it all in place because things wanted to buckle and fall inwards, this allowed me to pull the liner every once in a while giving it a nice even snug fit, and the assembled portions stood up strong and kept things from wanting to fall appart.

I tried several different techniques..one with without the top rail supports so that I could gain some flex and started trying techniques when I used to install carpeting. Close, but no cigar and it just really worked hard on the walls.

Next was installing the top rail supports to hold the shape of the pool, again...air ball..........no good. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Exacto knife was looking very pleasant to me at that time.

Correct liner? No expert by all means of this but, given how close this is, it all looks right. Seams on cove in the right spot, etc.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooo. I am calling in the pros and let them deal with this. Can't make it until next week so I may give it the ol' college try one last time. Any other advice?
