I'm doing an extensive pool remodel, tearing out all the deck, coping, tile, plaster, plumbing, electrical etc. We're getting to the point where the new coping (concrete safety edge blocks) is going to be installed along with the tile edge. I would like to protect the new white coping from permanent staining by dirt during the plumbing demo and grading prior to pouring of the concrete. Can anyone recommend a method of "sealing" the coping which would prevent their staining during the balance of the construction?

inground; 20,000 gallon; originally built in 1969; kidney shaped
with spa; currently lot is dirt and pool has been chipped down to
the concrete shell; intercity small backyard; 1000 sqft of concrete;
500 sq ft of pool.
