    Default Recommended resurfacers in AZ?

I have a pool that's about 26 years old now. The plaster is pitted algae heaven right now.

I'm seriously considering trying an Ultraguard application, but my wife doesn't like the idea and thinks I should find a good contractor. I don't know that I have the money for that, but does anyone have any recommendations in the Phoenix area for either a replaster or a Pebbletec finish (or other variants)?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't have any experience with people who will replaster but you can go on Pebbletec's website and find licensed installers, not just pool builders. I did a quick search and found quite a few you could call. Just go to:

    http://www.pebbletec.com/locate_installer.aspx

Also I saw a website of someone in Glendale, Phoenix area which looked impressive:

    http://www.pradoandsons.com/

Check it out, can't hurt to get a free estimate.

I just had mine done in Gilbert, AZ and I am happy. After interviewing 5 companies, I went with Perez Pool Plastering in Phoenix. The did everything they said they would and always on time. I had Ultrapoz (similar to 3M quartz), new tile and over 1000 sq ft of cooldeck (acrylic lace). With the spa, and it was about $8k.

The only disappointment is that he put a bunch of pucks in the pool for the startup, which I pulled out today, but I will start another thread for that.

The company is very reputable and the guy has been in the Phoenix area for over 20 years.
