    OK solved this one myself, I call Pool Engineering and talked to someone there who told me that you need at least 2 inches. I then emailed the owner of the PB I was using and informed him of my problem. The next day he had the gunite company, the gunite inspector and the site supervisor out. They are going to add gunite to areas that need it.

    When adding cement to cured cement it creates a cold joint. Make sure when they add gunite they chip out the areas that are going to be reshot so the new gunite has something to "grab" to. Also the day before they come back out, give your gunite a good water soak.
