Default Temporary pool down, now what?

This was my first year with a temporary frame pool and with the knowledge I gained off this board I had a fairly easy time keeping it clean and non-green. I decided to take it down for the winter. Since it is definetly going back up in the spring, now I'm trying to decide what to do with the dirt spot.

Any one have any suggestions? What have other people done?

I have to do something with it or the dogs will be playing in "their new sand box". My current theroy is to landscape fabric it, put some pinstraw over it, and move the hammock over to it.

We only got our frame pool after we were done with dogs. I didn't want to have to look for dogmines while walking out to the pool. But I put leaves where my pool sits in the off season. They mulch up during the winter. Kimrst
