I have 2 PVC pipes that come up out of the ground, that meet and flow into one pipe that flows into my pump basket. One pipe is for the main drains and one is for the skimmers. There is a valve that I can switch from one to the other, or in between the 2, that determines where the pool is draining from.

My water comes from a well. After taking about 3 straight days to fill up my pool, while I was at work my pool builder poured an entire bottle of "Metal Out" in the pool. Is this a problem? If it is, what do I do?

My next question is this: the water had not reached the skimmer level yet and he somehow turned off the circulation/suction to the skimmer so that the water could circulate just through the jets. I've looked and I feel stupid but I can't seem to find out where he did this so I cannot get the skimmer to work. Any idea what it would look like to turn the skimmer back "on"?

I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
