Default Anyone know what Crystal-Aqua is?

When my pool was closed, they put in a gallon of Crystal-Aqua "winter conditioner". There is no ingredient info on the bottle and pool guy didn't know what it really did-they are just instructed to put it in at closing.
Is there anyone familiar with this product?

I just love it when people put non-descript chemicals in your pool for you.

I just fired my pool store from ever closing my pool for me again. They were instructed to close the pool and they have been doing it to my liking for the past three years. I saw no danger this year, so I let my mother-in-law house-sit while they closed it this year. Needless to say, I was in for a shock when I came home and saw the receipt that they added "2 algecide" for $35. Nothing else listed on the receipt. I asked my MIL and she said they never asked her if it was OK, they just "did it". I went to the store this week and really laid into them (them being Gene Lily pools in Pasadena, MD). They refunded the money, but I am still boiling about it. I have no idea what or even how much they added. I hope I don't run into a problem when I open it next summer.

Sorry I can't help you with your problem, I just had to vent.

    Regards,

    Mark

P.S. I hope this warning will keep others from getting "pool stored" Be forewarned about Gene Lily. I guess what really gets me going about it is they were caught with their hand in the cookie jar and tried to pass it off as it is something they do to everyone's pool when they close it. I told them "Not to my pool, you don't!" as they hadn't the previous 3 years. They continued to give me a hard time as I walked out the door with my money. I guess it is a good thing. I will be saving $600 a year for pool opening and closing services from them.
