    Default Can you identify this part for me?

    I'm posting on several threads here about my friends pool.
    I have no idea what this thing with a cap is.. I don't have one on my pool and I'm obviously not a professional so if anyone can help- that would be great.

    I'm certainly no expert, but it looks like an air blower for a spa.
    Pool owner - contract signed 21Aug2006; HOA approval granted; complete - existing patio demolition; excavation; rebar; embedded plumbing; gunite; plumbing; electrical; tile and coping; decking; plaster; pool fill; acid start-up; regular start-up; pool school; gas meter upgrade; additional of salt; PDA remote programming.

    Okay..
    The little R2D2 thing under it...I assumed was for the spa also because it has the same number of legs as the number of jets in the spa.

    I'm totally clueless when it comes to spa's. I'll learn though, thanks to this website!

    That's the water valve for the in-floor cleaning system...

    The big brown rusty thing is the blower for the spa jets. The 'little octipus' below it is the in floor cleaner actuator valve.
