Default Solar Pool Cover Help. What's the Best?

We are in the final stages of putting in solar, but have no idea on what is the best pool cover to use. I've seen bubbles or diamond shapes in the cover and 9mil to 16mil covers. Can you all direct us to what you would consider the best cover on the market (where to get one too) and what mil thickness. Oh yes what does the thickness add to the cover, the solar guy has a standard 9mil cover to offer us. I see there is another post to this topic so sorry if some of the things are covered, but I really for some additional recomendations such as type and mil. thickness. Can you also use a reel on a free form pool with lots of curves and recomendations on what type reel? Lastly, how do you cut the blanket to fit the pool?
    Thanks

Fcfrey echoed my thoughts in this thread. I'll never get anything other than the extruded one from poolproducts.com (the SPP site fcfrey mentioned). I've wasted so much money on 'quality' solar covers that didn't last more than 1 season. They'd delaminate, and not roll up on the reel correctly. What a pain! Finally I found the extruded ones, and I'll never go back.

Read all about what they mean by 1 piece extruded here.

Oh, and don't bother to go by length of warranty. Most will claim the failure was due to something you did anyway.

Why BBB? Because money can't buy happiness, but saving it sure can!
