I didn,t know if more would be better or if it would have any negative effects on the rest of the water chemistry.

Gotcha' now. I personally don't use it but those that do seem to indicate it's fine to overdose a little. Others better informed will give you a more accurate opinion.

Just make sure you are using polyquat algaecide.

I usually add a double dose when closing per Ben's instructions.

They are not here. They were in some of the old threads that were lost when the forum crashed. He had recommended that a double dose of Polyquat 60% be added upon closing.
