My cartridge has not been getting dirty, its been clean for like 3 days, and their is only some green spots on the bottom but not alot of green stuff. :S
I'd keep the filter going 24/7 for a couple days. You should be brushing the sides and bottom to loosen up the dead algae and getting it into the water where it'll be filtered out. It may cloud up again but that's good, the filter will get it out.
Watch the pressure guage for it to rise which will tell you the pump's working harder to push water thru the cartridge. That's when you should pull the cartridge and clean it.
Once it's all cleaned out you can cut back the time it's on.

Are you brushing and stirring it up?. When algae kicks, it'll just sink to the bottom. Not much chance of it being sucked upinto the filter unless you stir things up.
Not to insult your intelligence, but you have checked the manual for proper hook-up and installation of the cartridge, right?
Oh......... We need a Cartridge for the filter? I been sticking a Paper Town Roll in . LOOOOOOOOOOL Just Playing

Yes, you can get in it, but wear something that is old and you don't mind if it fades.
