I don't plan on using any other chlorine except bleach.
Have read lots and lots of information on this forum, but I may have missed this. Do you still need to keep trichlor sticks in your chlorinator when you're doing the BBB system?
Thanks

Why BBB? Because money can't buy happiness, but saving it sure can!
Thanks for the reply, Doggie! I thought that was the idea, but I just wanted to make sure!
Make sure that if you're leaving pucks or sticks in the chlorinator that you don't pour bleach directly in the skimmer...just in case there's a reaction.

Mccato,
The ONLY reason to keep pucks in your chlorinator is if you have less than ~30 ppm CYA. If you are at 30 ppm or above you should remove them or at least do not add any more when they are gone. (NOTE: this DOES NOT apply if you have a SWG system). There are many posts on the subject but if my memory serves me correctly the CYA goes up proportionately with the chlorine addition but never goes away
Thanks MaryLee and fcfrey - good advice. I appreciate the replies!
