    Default Leaf net cover

I have 2 large trees off to the side of my pool. They drop alot of leaves. I want to get a leaf net but don't know which ones are better than others. I have no experience with them, I did not even know they existed until I found Pool Forum nor do I know where to get one. Anyway, any advice or guidance in selecting the net cover and a retailer?

    Thanks,
    Brian

i've bought a lot of stuff this year at intheswim.com. good service, prices seem decent, they notify you of sales by email. last time i looked they had cover and water bags on sale. i am getting my first leaf cover this year in a week, hopefully. the guy i spoke with who has a pool and uses a cover uses it with the double water bags you can buy (same size as single i'm told, but done in a double cell so if one leaks for some reason, you still have the other one, plus i'm told they sit better in windy conditions. some people get a pillow that goes under in the middle. he told me not bother wasting my money on it and just go with the waterbags (enough to go around the permiter of my pool and overlap..the net should be big enough to cover more than the pool size by quite a bit as it should drop down 18 inches to 2 ft and hang inside the pool walls (most stores will have a chart that shows the size over and above the pool size to go with). some people leave them in all winter, some just as long as the leaves are falling and then remove, even though snow they say will melt through it..i live in a climate in canada where we only get about 2 months of snowfall and it tends to melt fairly quickly so i'm going to leave mine on all winter.

Well, I wound up finding a leaf net cover at a local pool store for 40 dollars. It probably is not the best one available but for 40 bucks I think I got a good deal even if it only lasts a few years.
    Thanks Tenax,
    Brian
