I have a 1 hp pump running an IG20 SWG24/7 (no timer), I am just wondering if I could just turn off the system late at night... say 11:00 and turn it back on at 8am.. manually, until I get a timer installed, does that sound dumb? Would that be off for too long of a time? How often does everyone run their pumps during a 24 hour period.

Right now the water is perfect, probably becuase its running all the time but it sure hurts the wallet on electricity.
