    Default Zodiac LM2/LM3 SWG

Does anyone know why the LM3 series is not listed on the canadian website for zodiac SWG's? All it shows is the older LM2 series as available.

My builder is putting the LM2 series in but I noticed it seems to be an older model compared to what is listed in the USA.

I emailed Zodiac Canada, but no response.

    Thanks

    Kevin

My WAG would be that there is come Canadian regulation that they have not met yet - I think Canada may have tougher/longer testing procedures for consumer products than the US???

Canada requires that the product be submitted and approved for a PCP registration (similar to UL in the states). Each product has to be registered.
Not sure why that one would not be submitted for registration if the old model was, unless the new management has decided otherwise.

SWG seems to have really caught on this summer around here, where two years ago hardly anyone had heard of it. So it may just be a case of demand getting high enough to bother with a wider product rangte. Maybe with our short pool season they may not bother with as wide a range of products? Or, it maybe Zodiac Canada has a lot on inventory on hand :-) .

Well, Zodiac finally emailed back. Here is the reply.

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Zodiac Salt Systems. The LM3 is not on our web site because it is not available in Canada. There are different Zodiac product lines in every country based on the demand in their markets. I can assure you that you have made a wise decision with the LM2 Series unit and it will perform to your expectations. Basically the only difference between the LM2 and the LM3 is the shape of the cell; all of the features on the power pack are the same.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Best regards,
