special care needed for flagstone coping ?

I can't tell you for sure as I'm a new pool owner myself (pool was finished in April). I can tell you that we have flagstone coping and like it a lot. The pool company is very reputable and we were pleased with their work. They did not seal the coping or mention anything about sealing it.

I also live in Maryland and am getting flagstone coping. We were told it needed no special care. Backyard Creations, Frederick, MD is our PB.

We have the same coping and our builder said it didnt need to be coated
