Hi everyone,I took a water sample in today while I was returning my beautiful orange caution fence to the PB.I would like to hear some input from any pool gods out there. FC-1.8,TC-1.9,COMBINED CHLORINE-0.1,pH-7.9,Hard-220,Alk(with stab corr.)-150,cya-35,copper-0.07,Iron-0.Sggestions are very much welcome.The water to my family and I seems great.17-33 Grecian, 8-3'4, 18,000 gals, Aqua-rite SWG Thanks,Matt

Welcome to the forum.

You definitely learnt a lot from us "pool gods" and getting a SWCG right off the bat is going to save you a lot of money and hassle compared to lugging gallons of bleach.

The only thing that you need to do is add some muriatic acid to bring the pH down to 7.4. This will help to increase your FC up to 3 - 4ppm. This will also help to bring the TA down somewhat.

The CYA needs to be increased up to 60 ppm to help you keep your chlorine up.

I have been using this method, and found it to be very effective. You must run the pump 24/7 to dissolve it, and don't do any backwashing. You can also add it to the skimmer, and it will dissolve in the filter. I prefer my method as the CYA gets disturbed by the return jet for faster dissolving.

Also - be aware of your copper level - you might want to add a sequesterant to your pool before you shock so it doesn't stain your pool green.

Just one more comment as a follow up to Simmons99's post....is your copper coming from your fill water or from algaecide that you're adding? If it's coming from something you're adding, I wouldn't put any more of it in--copper is the culprit when hair and nails start turning green, and the pool starts to get stained.
