Default Can a "dry well" be dug beside pool...

friends just had a pool installed last week with a dry well on far side of pool (looks like a skimmer cover) in case of ground water. We have trouble with high water table and water behind liner.......is it possible to have this dug through concrete near pool? Our pool is at least 20 yrs old vinyl inground.

Sure it is possible, but it is much better to have the dry well under the deep end of the pool.
