SWG and pool/spa combos

Is anyone using SWG with a pool/spa combo? And what if you have separate pumps/filters?

I am using an SWG in a pool/spa combo but with a single pump/filter. Spa gets chlorinated in overflow and spa only modes.

Goldline shows a configuration with a single pump/filter and a dual pump/filter in their manual:
