Hayward 36 sqft DE Filter

This is my first post in over three years of visiting poolsolutions.

I just installed a 36 sqft Hayward DE filter on my 25000 gal gunite pool. I wanted to pass along my experience with others. The DE filter has already proven that it is far superior to my old Hayward sand filter. I have never experienced water so sparkling clean until now, it is great!

I was a little worried that a 36 sqft DE filter was small for my pool but with a Pentair ultraflow 1hp and dual 2" piping the filter pressure is only 10 psi and the old 62 gpm sand filter ran at 22 psi with new sand...

Any DE advice would be appreciated.
