    Default poolbuster max commercial grade???????

Hello just wanted to check and see if anyone has personal experience with the pool buster? Were on a well here at the house and water is a premium. I know just put in a new well. No way at est. of 8,000-8,500.00 I think i'll pass. These self contained pool vacs. that don't use our pump or filter seem very interesting. Comments on this brand or another one that you may suggest are welcome. Thank you for all info. steve

I have had a regular Pool Buster for three years. It does work awesome!
The draw back is that you have to remember to recharge it...lol
Also it may run outta juice before you've quite finished the job, if you didn't recharge for this session... ( I'm wary about recharging until the battery is dead because some batteries have "memory" & recharging early can mess them up... although I don't specifically know this as true for the P.B.)

I wish that the finer-mesh filter bag had been more reasonably priced... since it seemed over priced to me I didn't purchase it... found that I needed the better filter bag this season, so I put a filter sock inside the original bag, & that worked out pretty well.

Mostly I just use my P.B. for touch-ups now, but it was my primary vacuum for the two years with my "donut" pool.

I do highly recommend the product, but I don't think it's very pratical for really large pools as the solitary vacuum...jmo

Have the PB Max CG. Love it, buy it. Do a thread search and you will get my opinion plus many others. It comes with the fine bag. BUT, if you don't have one, the recommendation is to put a couple of cotton balls in the regular bag, supposed to work great.

I've been a fan of the P/B for several seasons. I believe I was the first to write about trying it and recommending it.

I DID have a problem that I wrote about--it wouldn't hold the charge it was supposed to and then would run slowly. If you have this, be SURE to contact them during the warranty period--it's a bad battery in the battery/motor unit and they'll replace it. I didn't and ended up having to buy a new battery, because it was way, WAY out of warranty. However the new battery/motor made it better than it ever ran before.

It should be super-powerful and hold a good, long charge. If it doesn't contact them for a replacement. Just so you know.

And yes, I DO recommend the PoolBuster. I haven't had my manual vacuum out in 2 years!.

Thanks for the comments. We'll probably use the regular vac. when the water level is high or we know for sure we have some rain coming.[ back washing is a killer] Right now and for the last two weeks it's been very hot, sunny and no rain. With the pool being used quite a bit our well has been pounded. The pool buster sounds like it just might be the answer during these periods. Again thanks for the info. steve

OK. Here's the REAL seller on the P/B. You can vacuum your entire pool with it, the battery (when it's good) will run for an hour or more. It's head is as big as a vac's so the surface area is good. It's FAR faster to set up than a hose vac and FAR easier to manuever because there's no water-filled hose. Cleanup is a snap and if you get the finer filter, it catches EVERYTHING. Plus it clicks on your vacuum pole like any other accessory.

Once you have it, you'll find you ALWAYS use it vacuum rather than the hose.

Yep, haven't used our "real" vacume since buying the PB. It is a HUGE time saver and is (almost) fun to use.

I have the PB MAX CG. I use it daily to do touch up vacuuming (insects). It works great. I have tried to vacuum my whole pool with it, but either my pool is to big or I am too slow.

It does hold a charge for about an hour when fully charged. Also, it only takes 2 hours or less to charge it.

I have the Gold edition which included the fine and sand/silt filters. I have not tried them though.

I have the Pool Buster CG and have been very happy with it. The battery does charge quickly and I can get multiple use before I have to recharge the battery. If your in the market for one take a look on ebay as this is were I found the best price.
