Smart Ring for Dolphin Cleaner

Hi there people with automated cleaners,
Do any of you own a Smart-ring drain cover? ( made by maytronics, maker of dolphins) or similar product ?

My dolphin is supposed to arrive monday ( finally cleared customs) & I've been going through heck trying to get a smart-ring or similar product to assist the vacuum over the main drain.
the pool store ordered me a after-market knock off that looked like it would Not work for this purpose... ( the lip seemed higher than the drain I already have)

so, (1) does your drain cover vacuum assist plate, work with your cleaner?
(2) what kind do you have?
(3) know anywhere that ships to Canada for reasonable $$$ ?

I bought the Smart Ring on Ebay last year. I also saw it in the Specialty Pool Products Catalog.

My Dolphin was constantly getting stuck on both drains in my pool, usually several times per cleaning. I bought 2 Polaris unicovers back in May and they've been working great- the Dolphin goes right over them. I did have one time when it somehow managed to move one of the covers off the drain, but that seems to have been the exception. I think they were way over-priced at $59.00 each , but at least now I can drop the Dolphin in overnight and wake up to a clean pool. I bought mine from In the Swim, but I'm not sure if they ship to Canada.
