Natural stone absorbs water - don't know if that is bad or not. Make sure that the slate you get is of good quality as I have seen some wall installations where it flakes off - wouldn't want slate flakes in the pool.
Can slate tile be used on a fiberglass pool? I have been told that when buying ceramic tile you have to buy a type designed for pool installation. BUt I would assume that any slate tile should be fine. Sound reasonable? I have fould some 1x1 slate tile at a local hardware store that looks like it would match my poool very well.
