    Default New PS234-First Results

Our pool is 20,000gal, fiberglass, and looks beautiful now that we have switched to bleach. Here are our first set of test results:

    FC-9
    CC-0
    TC-0
    ph-7.8
    ALK-440
    Cal-520
    Cya-170
    Temp-94

We live in West Texas and it's just plain hot here. Many days of over 100 degrees so far and many more before it's over.

So, any advice you can offer this BBB rookie will be welcome. Our water here is extremely hard. A water softener is a must to keep appliances working.
    Thanks.

Your alkalinity, calcium and cya are very high. Test your fill water to see if a drain and refill would be an option. The only way to get rid of cya and calcium is to drain and refill. Fiberglass pools are never supposed to be drained completely - therfore you would bring it down 1/3 and refill, and continue until you reach the proper levels.
