How did you arrive at these numbers?

Extrapolation....i had the water tested at a pool store a few days ago and came up with the others from a modest quality (add the drops and check the charts) test kit....I feel pretty good about the numbers...what is your concern?

PS: still waiting for my test kit to arrive...

    Topnotch,

I'd suggest you add 1 qt of muriatic. Test the next day and plan to add another quart to get it down around 7.2 or so. Results are a little variable so best to lower with multiple doses rather than a huge drop.

Download the bleachcalc. It'll help you with many dosage calculations.

Be on standby to raise your Alk with baking soda, too. Adjust pH first, however.

    How does your water look?
