Okay after I write this my Robo Kleen will most likely stop working and I will have to post that it died (knock wood)
I bought my Robo Kleen from Leslies at the end of June. Initially I had problems with it flipping over when it reached the coving, but I had read in this forum that one person called Dolphin and they sent special treads for the wheels. I called and explained what was happening and sure enough they sent new treads. They came within 3 days, but the instructions that were promised were absent. After figuring out how they installed the robot had no problems with the walls, except for an "occasional" flip that happened once every 3-4 cleanings.
Robo Kleen is quite simple inside and it works great. It picks up all kinds of sand, hair, leaves, acrorns, little twigs and anything else that will fit into the slots underneath.
Cleaning the filter bag isn't that big of a deal, unless the bugs are biting while you try to hose it out. It has a time to shut it off after 3 hours which makes it easy to just turn it on and come back to a clean pool. It hardly misses anything and it seems to be so much easier on the liner, even if we are replacing ours this year.
I was hesistant to buy one after hearing the stories of how last year's model was failing, but so far so good. Leslies has them on sale right now for $254.99
I would say that it's worth it.
