What you need to do is get the pool store to give you numbers--"everything is in check" doesn't tell us anything. I don't know why they do that.
You'll need measures of:
FC (Free Chlorine)
CC (Combined Chloramines)
pH
T/A (Total Alkalinity)
CYA (Cyanuric Acid, also called Chlorine Stabilizer)
CH/Ca (Calcium Hardness)
I cannot be sure if you have a white mold or a calcium precipitation--you treat them VERY differently. You may have something else again.
