    Your liner should be okay as long as your shock level drops along with your CYA level--once your CYA level gets below 90 I would let the shock level drop to 20, etc.

    If your CYA adjustment is to be done by Wed or Thursday, I think I'd just let the Cl drift down, get your CYA to where you want it, and then shock--you would use less chlorine that way.

    followup question:
    does this mean it is safe for the liner to keep chlorine
    as per ben's chart for high CYA ?
    so if i just get to the 60-90 CYA range
    i could keep my chlorine at 10ppm
    and my liner is OK ?
