    Default Muriatic Acid

While I am getting our new pool finished - my son has been swimming at the neighbor's house. The other day, he told me that they cannot use their pool because the pool company put acid in the pool and you can't go in for 2 days

Ok - I thought that you had to wait like an hour - but 2 days - that isn't right - is it???

Not unless they dosed the pool with a couple of barrels!!!

I have always felt very comfortable entering the pool after as little as 30 minutes. The dilution ratio with a reasonable dosage is pretty astronomical...say 50,000 to 1....and, provided the pump is running, it's distributed quite quickly.

Totally figured it was a bunch of hog-wash - but better safe than sorry. I am so excited - our pool will be done by next weekend - so I am making sure I understand everything.

    Thanks!

Muriatic acid might actually be the safest once it's on the pool. Like duraleigh said , since the amount is small and it dilutes quickly , not much to worry about swimming
