Question Pool safe pressure cleaning chemicals?

    Hi
I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this question, but I am going to pressure wash my concrete deck this weekend and I'm sure I will get a fair amount of dirty water/chemicals in the pool. Does anyone know what chemicals I can safely use? I'm sure I'll have to adjust the balance somewhat afterward. Thanks.

Unless you have a need, you shouldn't need chemicals to pressure wash concrete unless you have staining issues. The pressure washer will cut the top layer of concrete off if you want it to with just water.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, I have considerable staining from Eucalyptus leaves, so I don't know if the water alone will do it. I just want to prepared once I get started.

A great many concrete and deck cleaners are just strong bleach. You wouldn't want that going through the pump, but certainly wouldn't hurt the pool unless it was an excessive amount.

Try to avoid any products that contain TSP (tri sodium phosphate). If it gets into your pool it will act as a floc and you will need to vacumn to waste!

Thanks for the replies, I am trying water first. I saw some Clorox Outdoor bleach that I'm considering using. I read that it has a thickening agent, do you think it would cause any problems if it's diluted?
