It is possible that you have a damaged lateral in your filter.
It is possible that you have a damaged lateral in your filter.
Retired pool store and commercial pool maintenance guy.
I don't know if this helps, 'cause I'm a newbie, but when I had switch from sand to zeobrite during spring-opening, I kept getting particles in my pool as well.
Would vacuum them up & then by next morning the pool bottom would look like a beach.
Figuring that vacuuming wasn't working well, I converted my Pool Buster to hold a filter sock ( inside of the mesh bag that it comes with) & would remove the particles.( this helped a bit, but still had a lot of debris each day)
Eventually the pool store that did the opening ( & replacement of filter contents) admitted that they may have messed up putting the filter back together; Aparently there is a "rod" in the filter that must be placed vertically. The rod was askew in my filter & this caused the zeobrite to be continuously dumped into the pool.
So I guess what I'm saying is:
check that the filter is completely assembled correctly![]()
