cya regent quest.

I have hth 5way drop test kit from walmart. Can I purchase the taylor cya regent and use it with this test kit???

You can purchase a CYA test kit and use it, but not just the reagent. The CYA test is measured in a special tube with a black dot at the bottom.

THe HTH 5way kit has the same site tub and mixer container as the Taylor kit so you can use the same reagent in either kit.

Maybe I misunderstood...I thought the 5 way kit measured Chlorine, Bromine, pH, Alk, & Acid Demand and didn't come with a CYA measuring tube.

The kit I have does test for cya, I just ran out of the cya regent, and wasn't sure if ther was a difference in regents, thks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 5-way kit that I have tests for Cl/Br, pH, Alk, Ca, and CYA--and yes, it's the same reagent.

if you can locate a dealer that sells taylor kits near you, yes, you can buy from them or order only the reagent and test tube and bottle. if we can get it at the crappy pool store we have in my city, i bet you can too matter of fact, i was able to buy a small or big bottle of it . i went for the "pint" size big bottle.
