If you are looking to lower your alkalinity I would recommend looking at this sticky: http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?t=191. It works great.
I have a 20,700 gal outdoor plaster pool with a salt chlorine generator in dallas TX.
Using the PS-234s I got the following:
FC: 7
CC: 0
pH: 7.6
Alk: 170
Cal: 360
Cya: 70
Salt: 3200
I I need to lower my alkalinity by 50, but I think adding 2+ gallons of acid might put my ph out of whack. What do you recommend?
