    Default Calcium Hypo

I have some Calcium Hypo left over from last year and wanted to use it to shock my pool. It comes in a 16 oz bag and is 68% Calcium Hypo. I wondered if anybody could give me an idea how much 16 oz would raise my 8000 gal 18' pool. I want to get to around 15ppm to shock correctly because my CYA is around 40-50.

    Thanks in advance.

1 lb of Cal Hypo will give your pool about 10ppm. Go ahead and use it and add .75 gallons of bleach to get to a total of 15ppm
