The new NEC is going to have some more stringent requirements for pools, however you have to remember that the NEC is not a law in itself. Local and state governments can choose to adopt the code or not, and it is often quite awhile before it is in force.

I'm also in Ocean County (Seaside Park) and I contracted Oceam Pools, but they went out of business before they finished the pool. It was about 80% completed, so I sub-out the remaining work (under my attorney advice). My attorney advised me not to use Dover pools, since they had many filed complaints against them.

I agree 100% with the earlier poster, fall is the best time to build. We did ours in October. They filled it and closed it. Then in the early spring after the ground had fully settled over the winter they poured all the concrete decking and then opened the pool - it all went perfectly.

sean im also from NJ,Howell...i checked out nicholas,kinney,offshore,pooltown and holiday...after speaking with past customers and checking out all complaints with the BBB the clear choice for me was nicholas pools..

Yes I did check the BBB. I have two neighbors with pools built by poolside and they were very happy. I liked nicholas pools but they were priced higher for a smaller pool and were not willing to negotiate price on many items. Nicholas was giving us a 16*32 kidney while poolside 16*36 oasis (which is a kidney with a bump in it). I don't think you could go wrong with either one.
