What's the water smell like?
Have you ever used a non-chlorine shock like Potassium Monopersulfate? I used some last year and when opening the pool this year, and it gave the water a wierd faint odor.
Sorry Reggie, I completely missed the title of your post and only saw your numbers. About the funky smell, I haven't a clue.
Now don't laugh but...does it smell like a real lake? For what it's worth, I'm in North TX and occasionally get a whiff of a "real lake" smell from the pool. Crystal clear water and good numbers (thanks to members of this forum).
I finally made the connection that the smell comes after I've added water to the pool. Our local water supply gets an off-aroma from time to time in the heat of the summer. Supposedly, it's because our supply comes from 2 lakes that can have algae issues and the water has to get treated a certain way at the water plant.
City water officials say the water is A-OK to drink and use, but definitely has an aroma from time to time.
