Our pool was finished last fall and from the first day on the pool is losing water. We lost around 18 inch 10 000 gallons of water from December to March with the pool closed. The builder was out on side now 4 times doing smaller fixes like putting epoxy over some hair cracks in the plaster or fixing stuff behind the lights. He also did pressure test the returns and the rest of the plumbing with the result that everything is OK. I had the returns tested from the local pool store with the result of losing pressure. We are losing up to 5 inch per day or some time we don’t lose anything for a week. Also the bucket test results that we have a leak somewhere. It is really frustrating and we are not sure what to do.
Also the cooping and tile job is in my opinion very poor craftsman ship the sub came out 7 times before it was some how OK.
I would like to get an inspector out to the pool to check everything he can. Like the plumbing, plaster, tile everything. I also think that I found a spot were the plaster is not thick enough as I believe I can see the concrete coming trough. The pool cost a lot of $ and we are in the moment not in the position to get a legal fight started which could take years. I love the pool and we use it every day but these things are turning down the fun a lot of times and not even to mention that we believe we paid for a better job.
Does anybody know if there is such kind of organization which does independent pool inspections?
I just would like to know if I have a case here or if I’m just a picky customer.
Any hints are highly appreciated.
