    Default New Pool

Thinking of getting an above ground pool. We took one down over the weekend and the bottom rail was all rusted out. So much for a free pool. Got a media filter and two speed pump for my troubles. But back to my question. I am looking at a 27' round. Not sure what I am looking for any in site would be a great help.

We have been dinking with a used pool for the past two months. At each stage of set up, there is another missing or broken part. Although the money savings will be significant, the headache has been huge! We have, through trial and error, found a wonderful pool store that has been very accomodating in helping us complete this project.

Perhaps it was a blessing that you found problems with the "free" pool. There is some measure of confidence in having a brand new pool installed. I will probably forever wonder about the stability and longevity of my "bargain" pool. Plans are to have the pool set up and filled by this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

P.S. I am totally confident in the grounds preparation we made for the pool. We have a top-notch friend with pool installation experience who has put in endless hours making sure our ground is level and free from rocks, nails, etc.
