    Default New pool pricing

Hi, we are looking into our first inground pool. We are in central Nebraska where there are not many inground pools. I have had two estimates and they seem really high. We are about 45 minutes from the closest dealer so I know that can be a factor. I guess I am curious to know if there is anyone else on here from NE that has a pool who can help me with pricing and reputable dealers. I've looked at above ground but we have a bit of a slope to our lot. Any ideas or suggestions on getting the price down without compromising quality.
    Thanks

If you could level the site yourself you could save some money. You can rent a Bobcat around here for under $200 a day, and if you rent it for Saturday you have it automatically for Sunday too cuz most of the rental outfits are closed Sunday. And also, I don't really see where putting in a pool is not a DIY project, if you have some help and enough people it can even be fun. The way I see it, those who want to swim can and should shoulder some of the work, rather than you spending all of the money.

This way, you can figure out what you want to spend and get a bigger pool for your money. There are alot of very knowledgable people on this forum and it seems like someone is on all the time so whatever questions you may have, even during the install would probably get a quick response. Good luck

Edit:::: I see now that you are thinking inground.... Not so DIY..LOL

We are in Omaha and I got estimates on a 20 x 40 inground vinyl from 33,000-39,000 (all inclusive with dig, equipment, booster pump for cleaner, sand filter, concrete decking). I also needed a retaining wall for a sloped yard, which added another 10,000. We are very happy with our end result, but the company we went with was small and decided to forego installations and focus on renovations now, so they no longer build, but will still service. Are you closer to Omaha or Lincoln? You can private message me if you want and I can tell you more about who I got estimates from.
