    Default OK just got back from the pool store

    here are their readings
    fc-3.0
    cc-0
    tc-3.0
    ph-7.8
    ta-110
    CALCIUM HARDNESS-320
    cya-60

    he suggested a cup of M. Acid was all I needed. Thanks to this site my pool looks wonderful. I will say that once I'm in for more than an hour my skin get's a little itchy.

    I've heard of skin and eye irritations with out of whack levels of cc, ta or ph, but your levels look good. Maybe a little muriatic acid to push the Ph down a bit, but doubt that is making the difference.

    I have sensitive skin, and find that my skin is much happier in my SWG pool versus my neighbor's non-SWG pool. There was a great psysiological (sp?) explanation as to why this occurs in a past post. Basically, when the body exfoliates, the new exposed cells like the salt water better because the body already has natural salinity to it, as opposed to non-saline pool water.

    There was a lengthy thread about adding salt to a non-SWG pool about two weeks ago (might still be going on). I haven't looked for it recently, but I think the general consensus was that it was fine to do so at moderate levels that won't react with metal in the pool.

    Just a thought....
