If lid is seated and it is still leaking it probably is the o-ring. You should be able to pick one up at any pool store.
Wow, what a tough year this has been for us. Finally got the kids in the pool yesterday. Threw 3 pucks in the chlorinator closed it up. When I was shutting down for the night I noticed a lot of water by the pump. Turns out there is water shooting from the lid of the chlorinator on two sides. It as if the lid is not on tight enough. I tried re-seating the top to no avail.
it is a hayward cl200 in-line chlorinator. Ideas? I'm thinking maybe the o ring?

I have seen a guy remake damaged orings by cutting them and superglueing the ends back together. Seems so simple and it worked too. He was using it to make the orings that went between the valve and coreing machine for drilling watermain connections. Like up to 12" taps, big stuff. Watermain pressure is usually at least 60psi, I doubt that pool returns get that high.
If the oring is torn then it could be possible to just cut out the bad spot and glue it back together. Worth a shot anyhow, always trying to save money.
