Question site excavation for AG pool

    Hello-

We are the proud new owners of a 27' round AG pool! We are very excited about it but also hesitant because the site we are installing it on has a 2 and 1/2 ft slope over the 27'. The contractor we are dealing with is planning on excavating a 34' area, building up the low end with rock dust and then 2" of sand on top. No retaining wall is being built. Instead, dirt will be filled and sloped from the built up area to buffer it. Make sense? I am extremely nervous and am looking for advise and suggestions. Our worst nightmare would be for the ground to settle or give way! Thanks in advance,

    Wink5

Wow. I installed mine last year and in doing my reseach i found that you should never build up an area.

Why not just dig down on the one side. Seems like that would be easier to me.

Digging down would cause drainage problems. The water is already draining too close to our house as it is.
