The toughest part of the job was to convince the wife that pouring 5 gallons of muriatic acid into the pool over the past 4 days is fine and we will not be oxidized to the bone if we go swimming
Had the same problem with my future wife. I dropped mine from 210-220 to 150-160 in about 10 hours.

    Wow!

Doesn't that make y'all eligible for some sort of advertising contract with Jenny Craig or Slimfast or some such??

Yea, but I just don't look good in a 2 piece swim suit.

I agree that it works. My ALK was 600+ when I filled it July4th from a 350+ foot well. Did the aeration thing for a week and got it down to 200-250. It seemed like I couldn't get it to go any lower. I just ran the full list of test(PS234) and my ALK=170. Not sure what happened, but I'll take it.
