Help!!!

I have a 16x32 inground vinyl liner my latest readings:

24,000 gallons

FC: 5
Total Chlorine: 3
Ph: 6.8
TA: 120
Hardness: 100

Over the past 2 days i have added 10lbs of PH Up (5 lbs Borax and 5 lbs of PH from pool store) but my PH has not moved. the water clear

Put in more Borax....it'll come up. You were probably lower than 6.8 to start.

Putting more borax in is correct, but you numbers are a bit off, so I question your pH
You said your Free Chlorine is 5 and your total is 3.
This cannot be possible.
The total chlorine is the combination of free chlorine and combined chlorine.
So FC can = TC but never be less than it.

Make sense??

Andy,

His/her FC result if from the FAS/DPD test and his/her TC result is from the OTO test. It is common for new posters to post both results until they recognize how each test is used.
