    Default "pH UP" Constantly Needed...

New pool owner with 24' above ground pool in Ohio and RayPak heater... heater manual suggests pH about 7.4-7.8 range if I recall... I am constantly adding "pH UP" after our many rainstorms this summer... was sold the Chlorinator frog/frogger system... any way just to get a device that can monitor this pH and do this for me... sensitive due to heater... Thanks in advance.

Yes there are feedback controllers but all the one's I've seen are in the $2,000 to $4,000 category but if you don't mind the bucks it's available. Here's a couple I found:

We didn't want to worry about all the start-up swings affect on our heater so we simply added a bypass valve to isolate it from the system when not in use.

I also recall reading somewhere someone had devised a slow drip type of device for muratic acid? All you would have to do is configure it to introduce acid at a rate which would conform to the rate in which you currently use it. Seems like a project for someone with alot of time on there hands to me though.

He's a hoot! He actually re-plastered his own pool with his kids too but that's another article. I can only imagine how conversations go with him LOL!

I did not see his site ever, but thanks, that is good, I seriously doubt this could be done using Windows, especially Windows 95. I just saw this topic come up before on the forum. Is he a member here? If not he should be.
