    Question Dolphin Diagnostic Advantage Poll

I think that there might be a little confusion here concerning all of the problems with the Dolphin Robotic cleaners. I would like to know if the problems are related to only the Dolphin Dynamic Advantage (with remote) or if owners of the Diagnostic Advantage (without remote)are experiencing problems as well. The other threads concerning these problems are getting long so thought I'd start one here for owners of the Diagnostic Advantage to relay thier experiences.

I have had my Dolphin Diagnostic Advantage since Christmas, and I am very happy with it. I've used it about once a week durning Jan & Feb and about twice a week since then. It climbs all the walls, cleans the entire pool in about 3 hours, never gets stuck. It also changes directions in a random manner.

My only concern so far is not with the product itself, but with horrible service that the manufacturer and US distributor have been giving. Hopefully I will not have to experience that firsthand.

So far I am extemely happy with it. I'd like to see posts from anyone with a Diagnostic Advantage to see what their experiences have been.

I've had my Diagnostic for a short time (4 months) and use it roughly 2x a week, for 2-3 cycles each time (it cleans 98% of the pool in one cycle, but it does a great job polishing the water, so I run it 2 or 3 extra cycles).

I did spend some time at first playing with handle position, cord placement, etc. I found that using the next to last notches, with the floats on each side of the handle, and having the cord on the shallow end of the pool seems to help with complete coverage.

So far, no issues, very happy. However, I'm not looking forward to any service it may need based on the discussions going around here. For the price, I would hope that 4 months is just scratching the surface of its service life.

I have had my diagnostic for 2 years plus (third season of use) It works very well, even when i had my diametrious(spelling?) earth spill the dolphin handled it and picked it all up.
so the bag definately can hold fine particles.

I have a grecian shaped pool on the deep end and while traversing the walls it can spend some time manuevering past the corner. But it does make it.
It only gets to the first step for cleaning but didn't really expect it to do much more than that.

I also have witnessed the random 90 degree spin to change it's cleaning path usually 2 to 3 times during a typical 6 hour cycle. The impeller will stop and the guy will kick into high speed and turn. Kind of neat ha!

I have the handle set to one notch from limit and both floats on the cord side.

Use it once or twice a week depending on condition of the pool.

    So far very satisfied.

I had a Diagnostic for 3 years and I had to send it back for repair since one of the motors quit. It was covered under warranty and was returned to me by the authorized service center 30 minutes from my house in less than a week. Since then no problems. I gave that unit to my Dad and bought the Dynamic. To date I don't have any problems with it either (knocks on wood)
